also, i first thought that with the megaphone now being a living walking human charlies job would be unneeded and he'd be replaced andd gotten rid of, however. however. ive come up with a far better funnier idea

i saw this when the ask was first sent but had to put it off cuz i was at a party and i HAVE to give this thing special attention and thought this is a big question. but im home now so ok lemme think.

ok so, kill seth, it would make the world a brighter place and lets not forget Eat The Rich, additionally hes very weak it wouldnt be hard. easy task. the things i could do to him,

anyway. charlie, because i killed seth this means he would hate me which naturally means i have to marry him because then we could have a toxic hate sex thing going on

How do you come up with your OCs?

Like raincode OCs or in general? Well I suppose it just starts off with a scrap of an idea and building upon that slowly. Been thinking of making more RC OCs recently actually

For Charlie specifically it was kind of a running joke in my group to OC-ify him? or maybe I came up with the idea but kept putting it off? I don't remember it was a while ago. I kneww I wanted him to have a crush on Seth from the beginning because of jokes from others that the megaphone guy and Seth had a thing, but I made it one-sided because I thought it would be funnier. To come up with his personality I kind of utilized like, his nature as an NPC. He didn't say or do much in the game, so I painted him as a laidback bystander kinda guy, a bit apathetic even. He also seemed to fumble alooot, being late to his first appearance and also not even turning on the goddamn megaphone lmaoo, so I decided he'd also be careless

That was the foundation, a careless bystander with a one-sided crush, and as time went on I like built off those more and more to add more depth and different aspects to him and those traits while also adding new ones as I saw fit

forr like none fandom OCs (or ig OCs without a canon counterpart) It's kind of similiar, I get an idea for a character, pick some building blocks and get a general idea, over time work off that and think of a background. Although I will say actually a Shocking amount of my OCs started off as like, self inserts or sonas. What would happen is I would choose like a silly concept with no background or lore attached, going with it simply Because I Can, liiiike for example a goth moth. But then my mind would start running wild with like, trait and lore ideas, I guess I'm just naturally keen to imagining and trying to Explain things. This is also why I don't rlly make/have sonas or self inserts, not only because I never really felt the need for one and can't rlly connect to them but also they end up turning into their own characters anyway

I'd say the biggest motivator for making an OC is having a design idea. I think that's the starting point, to be honest. I have a design idea i wanna make, I go do that, annd then all the thinking happens whether I like it or not

seth spent his tween years obsessing over medieval church aesthetics he made a cringe sona n everything. how do u point loudly
